• 2013 goal: To raise over $15,000 & grant 3 wishes
• All donations (excluding OSAA entrance fee) to Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oregon wil be made in honor of Queen Maddie, the 2012 Homecoming Queen who recently lost her battle with thyroid cancer.

Jam the Dam, a Week of Wishes event, is in its 9th year which is put on by the Beaverton High School Sports & Event Marketing classes. Jam the Dam! is a one-night event, occurring during the boys' JV and varsity basketball games. The event raises money benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon. The night is filled with contests and giveaways, including free Jam the Dam T-shirts for the first 500 fans.

Last year, Jam the Dam! raised close to $15,000. This year our goal is to raise $25,000 which is equal to 5 wishes. The proceeds are obtained through local business who purchase sponsorships and/or donate items that are sold at a silent auction. This year, the presenting sponsor of the event is Reser's Fine Foods. Some other key sponsors include Wells Fargo, Dutch Bros., Bella Furnishings, and many more.

Swishes & Wishes, another Week of Wishes event, will be held during the girls' JV and varsity basketball games. Halftime appearances will highlight BHS performers.

The event is completely student run, and is the responsibility of the Sports & Event Marketing classes. Students are responsible for building sponsorship proposals, gathering donations and executing sponsorships. They are also responsible for running the silent auction.
