Volunteering
Who volunteers?
Volunteers are people who give their time to work in their community school under the direction of a teacher or other staff member to enrich the school program.
Volunteers are parents, grandparents, relatives, people in the community with specific skills to share, senior citizens, nurses, artists, craftsmen, world travelers, writers, college students and the person next door. Volunteers are people like you.
Why volunteer?
Volunteers relieve the professional staff of non-teaching duties. They provide needed extra help for individuals or groups of students. They enrich the experiences of students by using community resources, and they stimulate widespread community support for education. Volunteers build a better understanding between the school and its community.
