Beaverton School District Budget Priorities SurveyThe Beaverton School Board recently adopted a budget process for the 2012-2013 school year. Superintendent Jeff Rose then charged a committee of staff, parents and board members with developing a survey to collect data about educational priorities from the community. The survey results will guide the District Budget Team in preparing a proposed budget for 2012-13. There will be additional opportunities for community input during Listening Sessions scheduled for January and February. We value your input. The District is asking staff and community to prioritize components of the K-12 educational program. All of the components are important to us, but with an estimated budget shortfall of $24-$37 million next year, the District simply can't afford all of them anymore. This survey isn't designed to be a vote; rather an opportunity to weigh in. In addition to informing the District Budget Team, responses will be summarized and reported out to the community. Please take a few moments to complete the survey. The online survey will be available through Tuesday, January 3, 2012: |
