The Role Of The Vision And Planning Council

The Beaverton School District has formed a Vision & Planning Council, a diverse group of individuals drawn from throughout the community. The Council will serve as an advisory group to the School Board during the District's Strategic Planning Process, called Shaping District Excellence.
Council members will provide analysis and input to assist the Beaverton School Board as it sets the District's direction for the next five years. The Council will review results from community outreach efforts throughout the strategic planning process, develop key questions and options for the Board to consider, and review the preliminary work of the School Board to determine the strengths and areas of concern.
The group will meet three times during the process, late October (two hour evening meeting), early January (longer afternoon through early evening meeting), and late February 2009 (three hour evening meeting).
