The Beaverton School District School Board adopted the 2010-2015 Strategic Plan with a focus on individual student growth and achievement.

The six areas of focus are: (acronym - THRIVE)

Technology - employ 21st Century Technology to support innovation and excellence.

High Quality Empowered Staff - hire, develop and retain qualified, committed and diverse staff throughout the District.

Responsible and Sustainable Stewardship of Resources - Ensure a safe and sustainable learning environment for all students and staff.

Individual Student Growth - strengthen student learning experiences through teacher collaboration, student proficiency, differentiation and common assessment.

Volunteerism and Engagement Service Learning - Directly connect parents and the community to student learning and students to community life

Equity in Student Outcomes - develop a culturally responsive organization to ensure all students regardless of background will graduate college and career ready.

The partnership between teachers, students and parents/guardians is critical for student academic achievement. The District is developing a web-based K-12 educational Plan & Profile that will assist students in pursuing their academic and personal goals. This means that beginning in Kindergarten, students will be able to chart their course to academic and personal success.

The Plan & Profile will provide real-time student achievement data, and information about participation in athletics, clubs, service learning, arts, leadership, and other extracurricular activities. Students will be able to set learning and personal goals and revise their plans regularly.

The Plan & Profile will serve as a road map to guide student learning throughout school and prepare them for next steps after high school.

We believe that every student can Thrive, Contribute and Excel!
