Gateway To College ProgramPortland Community College Prep PCC Rock Creek The Gateway to College Program serves 16-20 year old at-risk students who have either dropped out of high school or are on the verge of dropping out. Students simultaneously accumulate high school and college credits, earning a high school diploma while progressing towards an Associate's Degree or Certificate. In their first term, students learn in a cohort, building academic and personal skills that prepare them for college courses with the general student population. In addition to reading, writing and math, cohort students take a college survival and success class to learn how to take effective notes, study for tests and juggle school, work and family life.
