Summa North at Meadow Park Middle School Summa is a special needs option designed for highly gifted students in grades 6-8. Eligible students must score in the 99th percentile on a test of cognitive ability and/or in both reading and math achievement tests. Students who qualify will be informed by letter and have the choice to submit application to the program. Summa provides a differentiated, challenging curriculum in mathematics, science, humanities and world languages that meets the intellectual needs of highly gifted students while being sensitive to their developmental level. Summa is located at Whitford (7935 SW Scholls Ferry Road, Beaverton), Meadow Park (14100 SW Downing Street, Beaverton) and Stoller Middle Schools (14141 NW Laidlaw Rd., Portland). All eligible students are offered placement in the program if desired. Efforts will be made to assign students to the site closest to their home. The Summa application and timeline are available on the Beaverton School District website or from your school. A letter of eligibility, including test scores, must accompany the application.
