Principal's Message

Springville K-8 School opened for the first time in September 2009. The K-5 program is the neighborhood elementary school, and 6th to 8th grade is an options program, which requires an application process.

Springville K-8 School implements an approach called Expeditionary Learning. Staff utilize best practices in curriculum, instruction, assessment, classroom and school culture, and leadership. Students are engaged in investigative units based on grade level science, social studies and literacy targets. They learn how to observe and ask questions, record and organize data, use active reading strategies, and create and present high quality products. For more information about Expeditionary Learning, go the the Springville website homepage and select "Educational Program."

The website also includes a variety of other information, as well as a PTO website link and information about before and after school care.

Our mission: To create a learning environment in which every student achieves rigorous academic standards, develops an inquiring mind, and becomes a contributing member of our school, community, and world.

Our vision: Go to the Springville website and select "Springville Maxims" under Educational Program.

Our motto: "We are crew, not passengers." This means that every staff member and every student is fully involved in creating a positive and productive community for learning.

Contact us if you have questions. We welcome inquiries about our school!
