Come to school dressed
as your favorite  Dr. Seuss character on
FRIDAY, March 2nd, 2012
for McKinley ’s
7th Annual
Parade of Books!

How to help your child get ready for this parade:

            1. Help your child choose a favorite book. Your child

will be carrying this book in the parade. (The book
                is the most important part!)
            2. Each child in grades 1-5 is invited and encouraged
to dress up, in a homemade costume, as their
                favorite character in their book.
            3. Have your child bring his or her book AND wear his
or her costume to school on Friday, March 2nd.
            4. All students will parade through our school on
Friday, March 2nd! You are invited to watch the
parade beginning at 8:45 a.m. It will culminate in
the gymnasium with a special reading assembly.

golf

Golf in Schools is excited to offer an introductory golf class to the students of McKinley Elementary School. Each lesson focuses on a golf skill as well as a life skill. Students walk away from our classes having learned the rules, etiquette, elements of a golf hole, how to grip, aim, stand and swing. Students learn about honesty and how to be a good competitor. Students apply goal setting, and discover the importance of being your best.
