Technology Policies
Southridge High School has many opportunities for students to become exposed to state-of-the-art electronic technologies. Students are encouraged to explore with faculty members the many opportunities available to them.
All students are given access to the Southridge computer network, including the internet and internet e-mail accounts.
Southridge uses the Beaverton School District's eAccess system for storage of files. All students are automatically given an eAccess account when enrolled. The username is the student's id number, and the initial password is available from the library. We highly recommend that passwords be changed, as the initial settings are very easy to decode. eAccess is available to students from all BSD schools, as well as from home and the public library. Instructions on how to change passwords and use eAccess from home are on the district's website at eaccess.beavton.k12.or.us
Students are expected to understand and comply with all District regulations and with all legal requirements related to the use of electronic tehcnology (see Beaverton School District Consistent Discipline Handbook available under "District Info" at the BSD district website.)
All students and their parents will also be expected to read and sign the Southridge Technology Use Agreement. Students who do not comply with these expectations will not be allowed to use computer technology at Southridge.
