A committee was formed in January 2009 to select a business to provide before and after school care at Springville. This committee included the principal and several parents, who first examined child care programs at Jacob Wismer and Rock Creek, both considered to be quality programs. The committee members observed in the programs, talked with coordinators, and interviewed parents about several factors related to quality care. The program at Jacob Wismer, called Bethany Childcare, was selected to provide before and after school care at Springville.

Before and after school child care is located in the multi-purpose room located beside the gym. This area includes storage specifically for a child care program and access to indoor and outdoor play areas, bathrooms, and a convenient drop-off and pick-up area.
