Springville K-8 School
Community Engagement Committee
(Formerly Local School Committee)

Community Engagement Committee (CEC) members meet monthly with the principal. A major role is making determinations about building use by the public. Other roles:  function as a steward regarding building and campus use, promote safe and sustainable practices, serve as a communication link between the public and the school board, and establish partnerships with business and community organizations.

Three to five CEC members are appointed by the principal for two-year terms, after an application process.  Members will have overlapping terms to ensure that experienced members are always on the committee.

Current CEC members:

Dena Gentry                wayne.gentry@gmail.com
Rhianna Stapelmann        rscsrs@yahoo.com
Gabrielle Johnston        gabrielle.s.johnston@gmail.com

You are welcome to contact any of them regarding questions or concerns. For more information regarding CECs, go to:

The Springville CEC meets monthly usually on the second Monday at 1:30 pm.  Meeting dates are listed on the website calendar.  Usual agendas will include review of minutes of the previous month, old business, new building use requests, safety or facility impact concerns or updates, and other items related to CEC work, such as business partnerships.  Meeting minutes are posted on the Springville website.
