Public Library Cards
Students receive a public library Youth Access Card (YAC) from the Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) as part of enrollment in BSD. Students will receive these cards at school or via mail. They are distributed three times a year. Students whose families opted out of sharing student directory information will not receive cards and can obtain one by visiting a WCCLS public library.
This youth library card allows students to check out up to five print books or audiobooks from any WCCLS library without any overdue fines. It also provides access to ebooks, digital audiobooks, and other online library resources that can be obtained directly from their BSD Chromebooks or other device. More information about these cards can be found on the Public Library Cards Web Page.
