Clothes for Kids is a district-run, volunteer-supported program that provides free, gently used and new clothing and shoes to BSD students in need.
Students can visit Clothes for Kids three times per school year.
To schedule an appointment, please use the ParentSquare login button or call 503-356-4663. Appointments are per family, not per student. During the 45-minute appointment, there's a limit of one adult with up to four children or two adults with 5 or more children.
Please come prepared with size information for each student. During the appointment, volunteers will be available to help you with your shopping needs. Clothes for Kids is a donation-based program that is intended as a supplemental resource. As such, the program may not be able to meet all of the needs of all students.
We appreciate donations of clean, school-appropriate, gently-used or new clothing and shoes. We only accept donations of new underwear and socks, and we are always in need. Visit our Amazon wishlist to purchase these items and have them shipped directly to Clothes for Kids.
Most urgent needs:
Girls and boys winter jackets, size 8
- Boys and girls jeans and pants (elastic waist preferred), sizes 5-10
- New underwear and socks for all ages and sizes
- Pants for elementary-aged students, sizes 5-12
- Coats for elementary-aged students, sizes 5-12
- Department store shopping bags with handles
Please call Kara Yunck at 503-356-4378 to schedule "lost and found" school drop-offs.
We accept financial contributions. Please make checks payable to Clothes for Kids and mail to 16550 SW Merlo Road, Beaverton, OR 97003. You also can donate online by going to our Business Services webpage and select "Donations." Then click "Donate Here." Use the pulldown menu on the right side and choose "Beaverton School District" and then select "Clothes for Kids Donation" under "Item." All proceeds go to purchasing clothing and shoes for BSD students.
Clothes for Kids doesn't exist without our dedicated volunteers! Interested volunteers can login to their myimpactpage.com profile to sign up for open shifts. Shifts are available on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays. Some volunteers help families with their shopping; other volunteers sort and hang donated items. Small groups of volunteers also are needed for extra sorting on Mondays and Fridays.
If you have any questions or need assistance signing up to volunteer, please contact Communications Coordinator Kara Yunck at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 503-356-4378.
