Mary & Mike Streifel
Mike and Mary Streifel created a nonprofit, called A Chance to Dream, that raised the funds necessary to hire a Ballet Folklóico dance instructor and purchase traditional dress for Aloha-Huber Park K-8.

Sunshine Division
In 2021, the Sunshine Division generously donated 500 holiday meal boxes to BSD families in need, up from 130 meals in 2020. Thank you for your continued partnership and for supporting those in need.

Nike
A long-standing community partner, this year Nike provided a unique in-kind donation that helped kids focus on their mental health, as well as additional donation that helped save the district a tremendous amount of money.

Helping Hands
Jenny Jiang, Emma Karpov and Claire Kennedy created the Helping Hands Club to promote wellness, joy and connection through art and play. The girls organized and facilitated six themed events throughout the school year for Jacob Wismer students and families.

Project Prelude
Project Prelude was founded in 2016. The student-led nonprofit organization is dedicated to teaching elementary school students how to play the violin. Last year, dozens of students at Elmonica Elementary learned to play violin through the partnership.

Beaverton Together
Aloha and Southridge High Schools partnered with local non-profit Beaverton Together to create 8th grade fly-up events to welcome incoming students and their families to their high school communities. The events included access to multiple community resources, giveaways, prizes and even a barbeque dinner.

Jesuit Alumni Food Drive
In 1986, the Jesuit Alumni Food Drive started serving our community with food boxes — up to 800 families, in fact. But during the pandemic, the food drive pivoted and instead served families with grocery gift cards. Jesuit coordinators worked with the Student Services Department and school counselors to identify those families most in need.

Chetana Foundation
Since 2018, the Chetana Foundation has served BSD students and families with backpacks and school supplies. To date, they have generously donated and distributed more than 15-thousand items. We truly appreciate their generosity.
Equity-2022
Beaverton Rotary
Beaverton Rotary's Books for Kids program supported students at Aloha-Huber Park, Fir Grove, Chehalem, Errol Hassell and Kinnaman Elementary Schools. The organization made it possible for students to buy books at their school book fairs.

Enedelia & James Mottram
Enedelia and James Mottram created a cart allowing a Bethany Elementary student with dwarfism to access the lunchroom better.

Wake Up Beaverton!
Wake Up Beaverton partnered with BSD and several other community organizations to distribute school supplies, food and other services to nearly 5,000 students at four distribution events in August.
