ALT 1 - Fitness Concepts
I can demonstrate knowledge of a physically active lifestyle.
AST 1.1 - Identify Changes to the Body : I can identify changes to the body during and after exercise (heart rate, sweat, breathing rate, hot, thirsty, muscle fatigue, skin color).
AST 1.2 - Benefits of Physical Activity : I can identify benefits of physical activity as a way to become healthier.
AST 1.3 - Areas of Strengths, Weaknesses : I can assess fitness levels and identify areas of strengths and weaknesses.
AST 1.4 - Identify Fitness Components : I can identify fitness components (endurance, strength, flexibility, cardio).
ALT 2 - Social Skills
I can demonstrate responsible and respectful behavior for self and others.
AST 2.1 - Safety, Rules, Procedures : I can explain and demonstrate safety, rules, procedures and etiquette to be followed during participation in physical activities.
AST 2.2 - Teamwork, Good Sportsmanship : I can demonstrate teamwork and good sportsmanship by working cooperatively with and encouraging others.
AST 2.3 - Resolve Conflict : I can identify positive ways to resolve conflict.
AST 2.4 - Work Independently : I can work independently in a variety of physical activities.
AST 2.5 - Give Positive Feedback : I can give and receive positive and corrective feedback.
ALT 3 - Physical Skills
I can demonstrate motor skill proficiency in a variety of physical activities.
AST 3.1 - Apply Locomotor Skills : I can apply a combination of locomotor skills in a variety of settings.
AST 3.2 - Perform Non-Locomotor Skills : I can perform a combination of non locomotor skills in a sequence or performance with a partner.
AST 3.3 - Mature Manipulative Skills : I can demonstrate mature manipulative skills and apply some in an authentic activity (examples include: underhand toss, overhand throw, catch, ball control, kick, strike with an implement, volley, hand dribble, foot dribble, jumping rope).
AST 3.4 - Rhythmic Activity : I can create an original rhythmic routine.
