Community Conversation Around Race

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 4:00 to 6:30 p.m

In our ongoing efforts to ensure equitable access, inclusion, and opportunity for our students, families, and staff, the Beaverton School District is engaging in the second of hopefully many Community Conversations Around Race. As a valued member of our community, we cordially invite you to attend and participate! We will be welcoming students, families, staff, and community members from throughout Beaverton and the surrounding region to join us in this virtual Southridge High School event. The afternoon will include the elevation of student and adult voices from our schools and community partners in two breakout sessions focused on specific topics within the broad conversation around race. The event will once again be anchored by a keynote session highlighting student voice.

This year we are honored to have the support and participation of Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty and her office.  We thank the Mayor for prioritizing this event and ensuring that the City of Beaverton and the Beaverton School District continue to partner together to meet the needs of our diverse community.  In addition, we are not only excited to include students, staff, parents, and partners from across the Beaverton School District, we are also honored to welcome and include the Jesuit High School Community to partner in this conversation.

Listed below is the schedule and session descriptions
