2025-26 Licensed Substitute Pay Rates

For teacher substitutes:

• Standard rate:  $246.00 for an 8-hour day

• Premium rate (deployable contracted substitutes, BSD retirees, and substitutes with 360 days or more of substitute experience in BSD in prior years): $258.30 for an 8-hour day

2025-26 Work Incentive

• Time Period 1: 8/26/25 – 11/21/25 (58 student contact days)

  • 37 full or half days = $350 
  • 47 full or half days = additional $250 

• Time Period 2: 12/01/25 – 3/13/26 (60 student contact days)

  • 39 full or half days = $550
  • 49 full or half days = additional $250

• Time Period 3: 3/16/26 – 6/11/26 (56 student contact days)

  • 36 full or half days = $750
  • 45 full or half days = additional $250
