2023-24 Licensed Substitute Pay Rates

For teacher substitutes:

• Standard rate:  $223.00 for an 8-hour day

• Premium rate (deployable contracted substitutes, BSD retirees, and substitutes with 360 days or more of substitute experience in BSD in prior years): $234.15 for an 8-hour day

2023-24 Work Incentive

• Time Period 1: 8/28/23 – 11/30/23 (60 student contact days)

  • 39 full or half days = $350 incentive
  • 49 full or half days = $250 incentive

• Time Period 2: 12/1/23 – 3/8/24 (54 student contact days)

  • 35 full or half days = $550
  • 44 full or half days = $250

• Time Period 3: 3/11/23 – 6/12/24 (60 student contact days)

  • 39 full or half days = $750
  • 49 full or half days = $250
