Tuition-Reimbursement Icon

Tuition Reimbursement

BSD employees are provided tuition reimbursement up to 12 quarter hours (or 8 semester hours) of college credits per three-year cycle. This renewable benefit can be used for graduate, undergraduate or community college courses; credited courses applied to an advanced degree or certification; and workshops or conferences.

Employee Assistance Program

This program offers financial advice, home ownership support, life coaching, legal services, mental health counseling, retirement planning and much more. Staff have access to ten free sessions per year for themselves and eligible dependents.

BSD offers paid holidays, paid sick days, paid bereavement days, paid personal days and family medical leave options.

 

Extra-Pay Icon

Extra Pay for Extra Work

BSD offers teachers extra pay for summer school work and for extended duties during the 194-day contract year.

 

Specialists-Stipends Icon

Specialist Stipends

The District offers stipends ranging from $1,200 to $2,000 to attract candidates for certain hard-to-fill positions, including bilingual and dual language teachers, speech and language pathologists, and school psychologists.

BSD is a participant in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and also offers 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plan options through multiple vendors.
