Beaverton School District is one of the few school districts in Oregon that is not a member of the Oregon Educators Benefits Board (OEBB). Our insurance policies are employer-managed with a team of BSD staff devoted to providing you access to insurance options, resources and prompt customer service support. We offer both PPO and HMO medical options, plus dental and vision with options for continued coverage after retirement for employees and their eligible dependents. Domestic partners and children of those domestic partners are eligible for enrollment, as well.
BSD offers employer-paid life insurance, long-term disability and flexible spending account options for both medical and dependent care expenses.

Beaverton School District offers paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick days, personal days, and paid family medical leave options, beginning September 2023.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Beaverton School District offers a robust EAP program through Canopy. Eligible staff have access to ten free sessions per year for themselves and eligible dependents. Our program offers mental health services, legal services, financial advice, life coaching, pet parenting support and much more. There are also affordable options to continue enrollment after retirement or resignation.
|All Beaverton School District employees are provided tuition reimbursement up to 12 quarters (or 8 semesters) of college credits per three-year cycle. The benefit can be used at any time over this period and is renewed every three years while working in the district. This benefit can be used for credited courses applied to an advanced degree or certification; graduate, undergraduate, or Community College courses; workshops or conferences. Rules and considerations vary depending on the employee's contract.
Beaverton School District is a participant in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). We also offer 403(b) and 457(b) options through multiple vendors. We offer continuation of all insurances for retirement as well as options for a premium discount on retirement insurances for staff that continue as substitutes after retirement.
