Learning Options

The Beaverton School District is nationally recognized for high student achievement and innovative programs. Beaverton students in grades 6-12 have the opportunity to investigate the learning option that best fits their academic needs. Students can choose their neighborhood school, or one of Learning Option schools. Transportation is provided.​

General information about Learning Options schools: Students may only select one Learning Option school on their application. All applicants must reside within the Beaverton School District boundaries at the time of application. Resident students not currently attending a Beaverton school will need to complete a paper application. Please give careful consideration to your choice of school. Once an application has been submitted, no changes will be allowed.​ Applications will be available Monday, October 18, 2021 for the 2022-23 school year. Applications must be received online, or in our office no later than Friday, December 10, 2021 at 4:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time).

How Do I Apply?

The application window for the 2022-23 school year will open Monday, October 18, 2021.

How Do I Find Out More?

  • Ask your counselor, teacher or principal about your learning options.
  • Investigate your neighborhood middle school or high school.
  • Talk to other students who currently attend your neighborhood middle school/high school or the option school in which you are interested.
  • Plan a site visit or attend an Open House. *Due to Covid-19 these may be available virtually. Please contact the Learning Option school(s) of interest directly for more information.
