The Long-Range Facility Planning (LRFP) Department is responsible for developing the district’s long-range facility plan which identifies the current and future infrastructure needs to implement the district's educational goals and requirements. The department also is responsible for managing student enrollment forecasts and demographic trends, executing any attendance boundary adjustment processes, coordinating with governmental agencies on development within the district, managing the district’s real estate portfolio and overseeing the facility use program for internal and external users.
The district is currently working toward development of an updated long-range facility plan which will guide future decisions about our community’s schools and how they serve families. Developing a long-range facility plan is a complex process that takes into account many factors. We encourage you to watch these five short videos to gain a better understanding of some of the current issues facing our district.
If you’d like to share your input on these issues, please leave a comment on our Engage BSD webpage. Your comments will be shared with our Long-Range Facility Planning Committee.
