Temporary Remote Learning
January 20, 2022
Thank you for being flexible this week in transitioning to Temporary Remote Learning (TRL). We’ve been tracking data at each of our schools and are relieved to see most trends improving. We feel comfortable in returning those schools that were in TRL back to in-person instruction.
The first day of in-person instruction for the following schools/programs will be Monday, January 24:
- Beaver Acres Elementary School
- Community School
- Errol Hassell Elementary School
- Five Oaks Middle School
- Greenway Elementary School
- McKinley Elementary School
- Mountain View Middle School
- Vose Elementary School
- William Walker Elementary School
- ACE & CTP
All elementary students should return their District-issued iPads or Chromebooks and power cords to school; if students have District-issued hotspots, those can remain at home for now.
If your student is experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms please keep your child home.
If your student has been isolating due to COVID-19 illness for at least 5 days (as of Sunday, January 23) and is no longer experiencing symptoms, your child can return to school on Monday with correct and consistent mask use.
If your student has been quarantining due to a COVID-19 exposure for at least 5 days (as of Sunday, January 23) and is asymptomatic, your child can return to school on Monday with correct and consistent mask use. However, if a household member (e.g. parent) tests positive and is unable to completely isolate away from an unvaccinated student or a vaccinated student who is 18 or older and eligible for a booster but has not received it, please see our FAQ under Quarantining/Isolation for further instructions.
Again, thank you for your continued support and vigilance.
