College readiness assessments measure both what is learned in school and what is needed to succeed in college.

PreACT measures English, Math, Reading, and Science, and includes information on plans and goals after high school as well as college readiness skills.

ACT measures what you have learned in English, Math, Reading, and Science.

PSAT: Tests administered on a school specific basis.  Please contact the school for more information.

WHO TAKES COLLEGE READINESS ASSESSMENTS?

  • Beaverton School District students in Grade 10 take the PreACT during the school day.
  • Beaverton School District students in Grade 11 take the ACT during the school day.
  • Beaverton School District students who want to take the ACT on a National Test Day can register directly through ACT. Please note that this test is separate from the in‑school ACT testing, and students/families are responsible for the the registration fee.
  • Private school or home school students who wish to take the ACT can register for a National Test Day directly through ACT.
  • High school students may opt to take the SAT.  Watch a video on when to take the SAT.
