MS Summer Band Camp
Program Description
BSD Middle School Summer Band Camp is an opportunity for students to play fun music, build friendships, and grow as musicians. Each day, students receive a one-hour group lesson from a professional musician on their instrument, along with two hours of full band rehearsal. The camp ends with a concert on the last day. Students will also receive a camp t-shirt.
Who can attend?
BSD middle school students who will be entering 7th - 9th grade in the 2026-27 school year with at least 1 year of experience on their band instrument.
*Please Note: This is a band camp, we do not have string instructors on our staff.*
2026 Camp Dates/Times
Mondays -Thursdays 9am-12pm
July 13th - July 23rd (7/13, 7/14, 7/15, 7/16, 7/20, 7/21, 7/22, 7/23)
*Concert on last day of camp 7/23 at 11:00am in the commons

Tumwater Middle School
Transportation
Students will need to arrange their own transportation to and from the camp each day.

Cost
We are no longer able to charge a camp fee. However, we strongly encourage families who are able to make an optional donation to help sustain the program. It costs approximately $150 per student each year to operate the camp, and your support helps ensure we can continue offering this experience for students in the future. Make a Donation Here
