Option Schools & Programs

The application window for the 2024-2025 Option School lottery closed on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. 

Results will be emailed to families on Friday, December 15, 2023.
Emails will be sent to the email address provided on the application.
If you do not receive an email, please check your junk/spam folder.
Results will not be given over the phone.

The Beaverton School District is nationally recognized for high student achievement and innovative programs. Beaverton students in grades 6-12 have the opportunity to investigate the learning option that best fits their academic needs. Students can choose their neighborhood school, or one of Learning Option schools. Transportation is provided.​

NOTE:  Students are not allowed to shadow at our Option schools this year. We are unable to remove that text from our online form. Sorry for any confusion.

Important Dates for 2024-25 Admission to Learning Option Schools/Programs

 

  • Monday, October 16, 2023: Lottery application window opens

  • Friday, December 8, 2023: Lottery application deadline. Applications due to the Learning Options Office by 3:00 p.m. PST

  • WEDNESDAY, December 13, 2023: Lottery is conducted.

  • FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2023: Notifications are sent via email. Second consideration is offered to applicants who were not selected in the lottery. (RESULTS WILL NOT BE GIVEN OVER THE PHONE.)

2024-25 NON-BSD STUDENT APPLICATION FOR STUDENTS WHO DO NOT CURRENTLY ATTEND A BEAVERTON SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOOL BUT RESIDE IN THE BEAVERTON SCHOOL DISTRICT BOUNDARY.
Esta solicitud es para estudiantes que actualmente no asisten a una escuela del districto escolar de Beaverton pero residen en lost límites del distrito escolar de Beaverton.

Arts & Communication Magnet Academy, Beaverton Academy of Science & Engineering and the International School of Beaverton are all option schools for grades 6-12 that utilize the lottery process for admissions. Rachel Carson Program of Environmental Science is a Learning Options Program for grades 6-8 at Cedar Park that also uses the lottery process for admissions.
