Option Schools & Programs
The application window for the 2026-27 Option School/Program lottery is now open.
The deadline for applications is Friday, December 5, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.
The Beaverton School District is nationally recognized for high student achievement and innovative programs. Beaverton students in grades 6-12 have the opportunity to investigate the learning option that best fits their academic needs. Students can choose their neighborhood school, or one of Option Schools & Programs.
Transportation is provided for students who attend an Option School/Program and live outside the school's walking zone. Students on Interdistrict Transfers are responsible for their own transportation.

Important Dates for 2026-27 Admission to Option Schools/Programs

Monday, October 13, 2025: Lottery application window opens

Friday, December 5, 2025: Lottery application deadline. Applications due to the Learning Options Office by 3:00 p.m. PST

WEDNESDAY, December 10, 2025: Lottery is conducted.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2025: Notifications are sent via email.
Second consideration is offered to applicants who were not selected in the lottery.
RESULTS WILL NOT BE GIVEN OVER THE PHONE.
EASIEST AND MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO APPLY IS ONLINE for both bsd students and non-bsd students who live in the bsd boundary
OPTION FAIRS & information nights
Arts & Communication Magnet Academy, Beaverton Academy of Science & Engineering and the International School of Beaverton are all option schools for grades 6-12 that utilize the lottery process for admissions. Rachel Carson Program of Environmental Science is a Learning Options Program for grades 6-8 at Cedar Park that also uses the lottery process for admissions.
