Welcome to Day 1!
Today, choose a book that you have not read before. Give the book a “sneak peek”. Read more and more, reading in bigger scoops.
Think about the book as you’re reading. Retell what you read today to somebody at home.
Today, before you write you will come up with a list of ideas you can write a meaningful story about. Remember to stretch out the small moments.
Complete 1-2 lessons in DreamBox and today's problem:
Beth had a pack of 20 pencils. The pencils were two different colors. Show all the combinations of pencils she could have that equal 20. Draw pictures and write equations to support your answer.

“Super Sleuth” game time! Everyone chooses an object from around your house. In turn, they describe its color, shape, size, and texture. Everyone tries to guess what your object is. The first person to correctly guess what the object is becomes the “Super Sleuth!”
Design a game that uses pushes or pulls.
Play your game with someone in your house and explain to them how it works.
Watch the Pixar short film Piper.
How did this film make you feel? What do you think the message or theme of this story is? What did the character(s) learn?
Draw, write, or act out your own story that is similar.
Ask someone for a song to listen to and let them know what you think about it.
People use different types of transportation to travel from place to place like cars, bicycles, trains, buses, and airplanes.
