READING
Nonfiction readers notice details and grow knowledge as they read. As you read your nonfiction book, ask yourself “What do I notice?” and “What am I learning?” Read for 15-20 minutes. Write down some of your learning in your notebook.
Spend any extra time reading a fiction book of your choice.
WRITING
Today, choose one of your two drafts to focus on. You will work on adding more information to each page. To do this, think of the questions people might ask you about the topic, and answer those to add details.
MATH
Complete 1-2 lessons in DreamBox and today's problem:
The volunteer fire station keeps track of how many volunteers they have every year.
Last year, there were 574 volunteers.
This year there were 458.
What is the difference between the number of volunteers for these two years?

How did this film make you feel? What do you think the message or theme of this story is? What did the character(s) learn? Draw, write, or act out your own story that is similar.
Play charades with someone else. Try to act out something and see if they can guess the word you are thinking of.
Draw a picture that shows how your favorite song makes you feel.
Use materials that you have at home to build a device that can send a message using sound.
Create a secret coded message for a partner to figure out.
Draw a picture of yourself and other members of your family.
