Enrollment Information
Eligibility
Students who meet the criteria below are eligible to attend CTP through the school year in which they turn 21 years old:
-
Have a current special education eligibility and IEP
-
Have completed 4 years of high school
-
Have graduated with a non-standard diploma or alternative certificate
How to Enroll
-
BSD Student: An eligible student graduating from a BSD high school will be invited to attend CTP by their special education case manager who will work with their family to update their IEP for placement. Their high school registrar will initiate enrollment at CTP.
-
Move-in Student: A student who moves into the district with a non-standard diploma must enroll at their neighborhood high school. The special education team at that high school will review the student’s educational records, determine eligibility for CTP and complete any paperwork necessary. The high school registrar will enroll the student at CTP when the eligibility process is complete.
Spring Open House
CTP holds an open house for prospective students and their families each year between late March and the end of the school year. At the open house, students and families will be able to see the building, learn more about CTP, meet CTP staff and ask questions about the program.
August Back-to-School Packets
New and returning students should receive a packet of information from CTP by mail in August. The packet will include the name of their teacher and important paperwork to be reviewed and completed. If you do not receive a packet by the third week of August, please contact CTP at 503-356-3940.
