IN THIS PROGRAM, YOU'LL... 

  • Examine the operations of automotive systems.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.

  • Determine and troubleshoot repair action for automotive systems.

  • Practice safe, legal and ethical working habits and shop management in the student-run school repair shop.

  • Learn from local businesses through internships, mentorship, workplace tours and job shadow opportunities.

  • Graduate with Automotive Service Excellence certifications for immediate entry into high wage jobs.

Open to students enrolled at any BSD comprehensive high school

 

District transportation is provided between a student's home high school and program location

 

COURSE OFFERINGS

The Automotive Option Program is open to students from all BSD comprehensive high schools. District transportation is provided between a student's home high school and program location.

HOW TO ENROLL

To enroll, select the Automotive Technology CTE Option Program during course selection. A lottery for selection will be conducted in May. Connect with your school’s college and career center and your counselor for more information.
