Use a variety of tools and equipment to design, install, and maintain electrical systems.

Apply electrical fundamentals such as circuits, voltage, current, resistance, and grounding.

Read, create, and interpret electrical diagrams, blue prints, and schematics to install systems to code and outline specification.

Practice industry-specific safe, legal, and ethical working habits aligned to OSHA and NEC

Learn from local businesses through internships, mentorship, workplace tours, and job shadow opportunities.

Graduate with a BOLI-approved Pre-Apprenticeship certification for easier entry into registered apprenticeships.


HOW TO ENROLL
To enroll, select the Electrical Technology CTE Option Program during course selection. A lottery for selection will be conducted in May. Connect with your school’s college and career center and your counselor for more information.
COURSE OFFERINGS
District CTE Option Programs are two-year, half-day programs that provide students with immersive, hands-on preparation in specific career areas. All BSD students enrolled in comprehensive high schools, Flex Online, or Community School may apply through the course selection process, with admission determined by a districtwide lottery, and transportation provided to ensure equitable access for all students.
