Students have the opportunity to earn 0.5 graduation requirement credit in Higher Education & Career Path Skills (HECPS) awarded in the advanced level course of the CTE program.

 

IN THIS PROGRAM, YOU'LL... 


 

  • Create working programs/products that meet specifications

  • Practice teamwork, organization, and other professional work habits

  • Engage in critical design review and review suggestions for improvement

  • Explore digital electronics and circuits

  • Use computer-aided drafting software

  • Demonstrate leadership and time management

  • Create with 3D printers, laser cutters, and more

 


 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Site-based CTE programs provide students with hands-on learning experiences in specific career areas at their home high school. Programs focus on developing career-specific technical skills, professionalism, employability skills, and industry-recognized credentials, while offering opportunities to engage with local business and industry partners. These programs are available to students already enrolled at the BSD high school and are accessed through the standard course selection process.
