Film Making I
Learn the fundamentals of filming and editing great movies. Students will film and edit three movies using continuity, conversation, documentary and special effects techniques. Movies will be filmed with digital camcorders and edited with Adobe Premiere. This class is the prerequisite for all advanced film classes.

Film Making II
Have fun making great films! We’ll take what you learned in Film 1, expand upon that knowledge using DSLR cameras, professional microphones and professional film editing software to create great short films. All genres of filmmaking (comedy, drama, experimental, documentary and music video) will be discussed and reviewed. We’ll also learn how to upload videos to the web.

Web Design I
Computer coding is the language of the future. This course will teach you important coding terms and ideas while having fun creating web pages and websites on topics of your choice. The class uses video tutorials and live demonstrations to learn. Each student will learn HTML and CSS to create web pages. Students will also learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop. The skills learned in this class will benefit almost any career field.

Intro to Motion Graphics
Adobe After Effects is the industry standard in the creation of Motion graphics for commercials, films and digital media art. We’ll use a project-based approach to learning motion graphics while building a core set of skills in Adobe After Effects. Skills covered include Keyframing, Track mattes, 3-D space, Keyframing, Easy Ease, Masking, Motion Blurring, Particle generation, Typography techniques, and more. You'll finish the course with a finished Motion Typography piece and a Motion Graphic intro for the Westview Wildcat TV Newscast. Created content made in this class could be entered into the district’s Signal to Noise contest.
