Messaging

Creating a school culture that values active transportation options is heavily influenced by continued messages from the school community. Use the messaging toolkit to post articles with graphics on a monthly basis via principal and/or PTO newsletters, parent square reminders, and social media. Our data shows a direct correlation between schools who post these articles with lower drive rates which means less congestion in school parking lots and increased safety for all. The messaging toolkit includes articles and graphics in English and Spanish, suggested dates for sharing, and planning information for all of our school Walk + Roll events.
