Student Accident Insurance
Beaverton School District insurance does not cover student injuries due to accidents at school or during school-sponsored activities, such as field trips. At the beginning of each school year, the District provides parents with information on a voluntary accident insurance program. Parents should consider this insurance option if their student is not covered by a family health or accident insurance plan.
Coverage is required for students participating in interscholastic sports who cannot show proof of other accident or health coverage. Students must purchase coverage under Interscholastic Tackle Football Accident Plan (grades 9-12) if participating in tackle football or Student Accident & Sickness Plan or Full-Time 24/7 Accident Plans for all other Interscholastic Sports.
Optional accident insurance and sports coverage is obtained by parents directly from Myers-Stevens & Toohey & Co., Inc.
