TAG Testing

Parent Nomination Forms for TAG Testing - Every year students are considered for Talented and Gifted students in the Beaverton School District.  These services are provided by your child's classroom teacher(s).  If you think your child might qualify, you may wish to complete the Parent Information Form below.  Completing this form gives your child's school TAG committee more information about your child.  Classroom teachers also collect observational data from students each fall and make recommendations for testing.

Cognitive Abilities Test - CogAT
There will be no CogAT screener for 2nd and 4th graders this year.  After careful consideration the Department of Teaching and Learning has determined that a change will be made in how and when the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) Screener will be administered.  In the past, the CogAT Screener was administered to all Beaverton School District students in 2nd and 4th grades during the Spring.  Instead, the CogAT screener will be administered to all students in the 3rd and 5th grade starting in Fall 2018.  Several factors led to this decision, including the option to now test students electronically, and to align with fall Talented and Gifted (TAG) testing.
