TAG Testing

Parent Nomination Forms for TAG Testing - Every year students are considered for Talented and Gifted students in the Beaverton School District.  These services are provided by your child's classroom teacher(s).  If you think your child might qualify, you may wish to complete the Parent Information Form below.  Completing this form gives your child's school TAG committee more information about your child.  Classroom teachers also collect observational data from students each fall and make recommendations for testing.

CogAT Testing - 2017

In February all BSD second and fourth grade teachers will administer the CogAT Form 7, Screening Form to their students.  This thirty-minute test consists of three different kinds of analogy questions: verbal/picture analogies, number analogies, and figure matrices.  Students scoring at the 97th percentile or above on this 30-minute test will be invited to take the full version of the CogAT in late spring. The full version of the CogAT can be used for TAG identification.  Dates will be posted in the Fall of 2015.
