In-District Transfer

Applications for in-district transfers will be available for submission beginning Monday, December 8, 2025 at 8:00 A.M. and endingMonday, January 26, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.

In-district transfers offer transfer opportunities for students living in Beaverton School District boundaries to attend another BSD school outside of their assigned school.  BSD is offering in-district transfers to the following schools for the 2026-2027 school year:

   

Elementary Schools

Bethany, Cedar Mill, Chehalem, Cooper Mountain, Errol Hassell, Findley, Fir Grove, Greenway, Hiteon, Kinnaman, McKay, Nancy Ryles, Oak Hills, Raleigh Hills, Raleigh Park, Ridgewood, Rock Creek, Sexton Mountain, Terra Linda, West Tualatin View

 

Middle Schools

 

 

Cedar Park, Five Oaks, Highland Park, Mountain View

 

High Schools

 

 

Beaverton, Southridge, Sunset     

Please consider these important factors when applying for an in-district transfer:

  • Only one application for one school will be accepted per student.
  • Transportation for a student on an in-district transfer is the responsibility of the family. Transportation is not provided by the district.
  • Students should be committed to attending the in-district transfer school for the entire academic year.
  • The approval is for the duration of the current school level only. When students reach the next school level (e.g. moving from elementary to middle school), enrollment reverts to the assigned boundary school.
  • There is no guarantee that siblings’ applications will be approved.
  • A lottery system may be used if there are more applications than available spaces.
  • Students must maintain attendance of 92% or greater. There should be no more than one minor suspension per academic year, no suspension greater than five days and no expulsion. In-district transfers may be revoked if these standards are not met.
  • Students placed in special education programs must work with the special education team regarding their assignments. Specialized programs are only offered at specific schools determined by the district.

Families will be informed of student acceptance via email within seven school days of the in-district transfer window closing. Parents/guardians have until Friday, February 6, 2026 to confirm acceptance either by email or phone. If not accepted by February 6, the spot will be forfeited.
