Volunteers help assemble classroom emergency kits

Thank you to the more than 30 volunteers, who worked seven three-hour shifts over four days to help the Public Safety Department assemble emergency preparedness kits for every classroom in the Beaverton School District.

Volunteers from Wells Fargo, Baden-Powell Service Association Scout Group 503, the Community Emergency Response Team, Beaverton School District, and THPRD assembled 2,400 emergency preparedness kits filled with a first aid kit, a brightly-colored safety vest, a whistle, a trash bag, two warming blankets, two face masks, a glow stick and hand sanitizer.

Thank you also to THPRD for providing the space to assemble the kits.
