Occupational Therapy

School Based Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) are related service providers who support a student’s ability to participate in their daily school activities or “occupations.”  OTs and COTAs are key members of a school's interdisciplinary team who provide specialized services within a wide range of contexts within our school district. Our goal is to promote participation through activity and environmental adaptations, collaboration with school personnel and by providing individual strategies/solutions that enable a student to access their education to the best of their ability.

Occupational Therapy services are determined through the Special Education Evaluation and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process.
