About Us
Terra Nova Science & Sustainability is a hands-on, half-day experience open to high school students in the Beaverton School District. Students earn science and elective credits while participating in sustainable farming, engineering, and practicing social responsibility.
Admissions
Terra Nova is open to any student that attends a BSD comprehensive high school (Aloha, Beaverton, Mountainside, Southridge, Sunset, or Westview).
Students apply to Terra Nova through the normal forecasting process at their home high school. They forecast for either Field Biology/Sustainable Practices or Applied Chemistry/Sustainable Foods.
If we have more students that apply for our program than space available, we move to a randomized lottery system to select the students that will attend Terra Nova.
Attendance
Terra Nova's attendance is managed by Sunset High School. If your student will be absent, please call the SHS attendance line.
