Grades in Canvas - these are NOT the actual grade - 

To see grades you need to log into StudentVUE/ParentVUE. We will try to be clear about which assignments fall under the academic classes and which assignments are for the sustainability classes. We are using the academic classes in Canvas to share information for both the science and sustainability classes.

Grades on StudentVUE

If you are not a student at Sunset you need to change the focus of StudentVUE to Sunset High School to see your Terra Nova grades.

Lunch for Chemistry class

If you get lunch at school your cafeteria will have stuff ready for you to put together a bag lunch between 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th periods on your Terra Nova day.

Inclement Weather

Because we are dependent on busses to get our students and our building is located on a hill we do not have school when busses are on snow routes or when there is a two hour delay.

Late work 

Once things have been graded you’ll need to make sure your teacher is aware if you have submitted something late. Mr. Strom would like a polite note in the “Strom Box” asking him to go grade your late submission. Ms. Reichelt and Ms. Stone would appreciate a polite email. Be sure to include the following in your communication with teachers: 

Your name and class periods at TN

The assignment you’d like to have graded

Cell Phones/E-Readers/Video Games

Our policy is off and away unless given permission for an assignment or lesson. Here at TN we have such a cool opportunity to really experience our surroundings and learn in a unique environment. Due to our huge class sizes, we want to limit our distractions to really be able to think critically and collaborate with one another.
