READING

Choose a nonfiction book to read or continue with the one you have been reading. Choose a section to focus on and try to find the main idea by reading the beginning and looking at the text features.

Ask yourself, “What are the most important ideas in this part?” You might write this down in your notebook in boxes & bullets format or by writing a sentence like, “I think the main idea might be _____.”
