READING

Choose a nonfiction book to read or continue with the one you have been reading. As you read, ask yourself these questions and jot the answers in your notebook.

  • “Who or what is this about?”
  • ”What is happening in this part?”
  • ”What have I learned so far?”

WRITING

Writers pay attention to one thing as they edit- paragraphs. They make sure that every sentence inside a paragraph fits together.

Today, look back at the work you have done:

  • Is your writing organized?
  • Are the different parts and topics of your writing grouped in paragraphs?
  • Does every sentence in the paragraph fit together?
  • Would your writing make sense to a reader?

Mark places that need to be revised, and focus on those parts today.
