"I've worked as a classified substitute, Transitional Program Assistant, Office Assistant II and IV. I've loved every position I've held within the district and have received nothing but support in my desire to advance in my career."- ARAN REDDING, OFFICE ASSISTANT

Our support staff are the backbone of our district.

Our support staff are a vital part of our students' educational experience. They are often the first people that our students see each morning and the last people that they see each afternoon. Support positions encompass a wide variety of jobs — some inside of our schools and some at the district office or other district facilities. Some are licensed educational professionals — like school counselors, nurses, psychologists and social workers. Others are non-licensed professionals like custodians, information technology specialists, maintenance workers, nutrition services workers, office assistants and teaching assistants (also known as paraeducators). And still others have non-educational licenses — like bus drivers. Some support staff are represented by the Beaverton Education Association (BEA); others are represented by the Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA).

No matter their roles, our support staff ensure the safe, efficient and smooth operation of our schools.
