Explain the Purpose / Mission of this Club
It’s way more than building robots. FIRST Tech Challenge teams (up to 15 team members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. The robot kit is reusable from year to year and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming. Teams design and build robots, raise funds, design and market their team brand, and do community outreach to earn specific awards. Participants are eligible to apply for $80M+ in college scholarships.
Membership Criteria / Qualifications
FTC is a program designed for 7th-12th grade. Students on the competition team should show enthusiasm, self-drive, and be able to meet multiple days a week. Robotics experience is not required but students should be self motivated to learn the skills needed to be successful. 6th graders are considered on a case-by-case basis.
The FTC team invites non team members to Robotics Club on the first Wednesday of every month. Students can learn about STEM and robotics from the team without having to make the commitment of being on a competitive team.

Explain the Purpose / Mission of this Club
Our mission is to have fun playing card games, while getting together in a safe space (room 244) where we can all play games without outside problems like, where to meet? How are we going to get there? who's going to supply, the supplies? well with this club we won't have that problem anymore, we just meet in room 244 every friday from 2:05 to 3:30 (except the first friday of every month which is shorted by 15 minutes*) and play card games from texas holdem, to blackjack, and yes, there will be NO gambling with real money, we will have poker chips, but nobody keeps, them everyone is reset to the same amount every friday and nobody gets an edge, it's all fair, and there will be a paper handout explaining each game we play, to make this more beginner friendly.
Membership Criteria / Qualifications
Now we don't have any qualifications so anybody is eligible to join, we DO have a few criteria for this club to keep it a nice and safe environment, this is what they are: #1. You can have fun just don't scream, are goal is to have fun so were not saying to be quiet, just don't cause problems for other people using this space, like staff, or other students. #2. Don't storm out if you lose, losing is part of the game being a sore loser is not. And if it gets to a point where one person has so many chips that everyone else doesn't, we WILL reset the amount everyone has to what it was in the beginning. #3. Don't be a jerk to everyone, I understand a little bit of banter with friends but please don't just be a jerk to everyone it's not nice, or cool. #4. NO STEALING, whether its from stuff in the class or stuff we have for the club, don't steal it, it's either Kindblade's property or the clubs property. lastly if we feel you are being a problem and not following the rules to a very extreme case, like yelling at everyone being a sore loser, stealing, stuff like that, we reserve the right to kick you out. And if you gamble with real money, you're out for good. (Because it's illegal!)
