Welcome from the Principal, Bjorn Paige

Welcome to Arts & Communication Magnet Academy!

Thank you for visiting our Arts & Communication Magnet Academy website, a window into the world of ACMA. We hope you will visit often for information and inspiration.

On these pages you will find our mission, vision, and details about our many programs of study. Here too you can learn more about our application process, see a calendar of events, and even find what’s being served for lunch in the cafeteria.

We hope that you’ll also get a sense of the special and welcoming community we strive to create and maintain.

ACMA is a publicly funded arts magnet school within the Beaverton School District. A member of the International Network of Schools for the Advancement of Arts Education, ACMA is the only stand-alone arts magnet school in the State of Oregon. Our students, grades 6 through 12, receive a rigorous academic program combined with rich pre-professional experiences in a wide array of artistic disciplines. Our combination of high expectations and placing the arts at the core of our curriculum produces graduates who are well prepared for post-secondary study in a wide range of pursuits, both within and outside of the arts.

We’re proud of the amazing work our students do and of the caring, creative, and curious people they are, and it is our pleasure to share our little paint splattered, syncopated, and energetic corner of the world through this website with you.
