Principal's Message

Dear Bethany Community,

Hello, my name is Casey Lange, and my family and I are excited to be joining the Beaverton School District.  More significantly, it is an honor to be joining the Bethany Bobcat Team as principal.  My family, (wife, Nicole, son, Quinn, and daughter, Ashton) and I are San Diego natives, and have been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to move to Oregon for years.  We visited Portland and Beaverton during April of this year, and immediately fell in love with the area, culture, and overall climate of the community.  We instantly knew it was a place we would want to live, work, and raise our children.

I am a firm believer that education is the highest calling, and it truly is a privilege to serve each student, staff member, parent, and community partner.  This year marks my eleventh year in education.  As a teacher, I served for seven years at both the elementary and middle school levels teaching a variety of grades and content areas.  I also have varied experience as a school leader.  In my previous school district, Cajon Valley, I gained valuable experience as an assistant principal at two different middle schools, and most recently as principal at Johnson Elementary School.  As I begin this new adventure, I eagerly look forward to utilizing the skills developed through my previous experiences as principal at Bethany.

It is no secret that our community has a long standing history of supporting the education of each child.  The dynamic partnership developed between school and community is what has contributed to Bethany’s success and its outstanding reputation throughout Beaverton (and all of Oregon).  The continuing partnership between our staff and community is geared toward providing a rigorous and relevant education for each child, while also fostering each student’s social an emotional growth.  We are committed to maintaining an environment that is safe, nurturing, welcoming, and one that will aid in the development of responsible citizens in our school and community.  I am confident that as we grow together, and support one another, we will watch Bethany School continue to shine!  I am truly humbled and excited by the opportunity I have to serve the community, and can’t wait to meet each of you.

Respectfully,

Casey Lange
