Early College High School Students

Early College High School is a unique opportunity to blend high and college in a personalized and rigorous experience on the campuses of Portland Community College.

To be eligible to apply, students:

are at least 16 years old*
have junior standing*
live in the Beaverton School District or partner districts
demonstrate competancy in math, reading, and writing

*(when classes start)

Early College students are socially and emotionally ready to operate successfully in an adult setting. Students attend PCC classes full-time, taking regular college courses with other PCC students. ECHS staff provide a system of support and guidance to all Early College students.

ECHS makes a special effort to reach out to:

First generation and under-represented students
Students who are the first in their family to attend college
AVID students
Discouraged learners
Students interested in the trades and technical careers
Students who may feel out of place in a traditional school setting
