Interested in Career Encounters at PCC?
Career Encounters is a joint partnership between PCC and the Beaverton School District. This program allows juniors and seniors to get hands-on career experience in high-demand, high-wage careers. Students earn both high school Applied Arts (.5) credits and PCC (2) credits. All tuition, fees, and equipment are paid for by the Beaverton School District.
Currently, there are three course options of the Career Encounters program. All three will be available for the 2018-19 academic school year (PCC terms: Fall, Winter, Spring):
Classes meet twice a week for the exception of Fridays. Students have Early Release on Fridays. Classes run from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Once every 2 weeks, students will stay 1 hour later (1:30-4:30) to do the career focus activities in the College Guidance section of the course.
